Toad SQL Tuning for DB2 on z/OS 4.0 Beta
The Toad DB2 4.0 beta program has introduced the Toad SQL Tuning for DB2 on z/OS
component that
is integrated with the Toad DB2 4.0 Beta. If you have this new component
installed you can launch it
from a
Toad DB2 SQL Editor session to perform advanced statement tuning. To
get started with Toad SQL Tuning for DB2 on z/OS
STEP 1: Download the installation by clicking on the link below.
Toad SQL Tuning for DB2 z/OS 4.0 Beta (688) Install
STEP 2: Install the component
STEP 3: Start Toad for DB2 4.0 Beta (4.0.0.631 or greater is required)
Within a DB2 on z/OS SQL Editor session select a statement and click the button
to launch the Toad SQL
Tuning for DB2 on z/OS component as shown below.
Notes:
The Toad SQL Tuning for DB2 on z/OS component has been updated along with the Toad
for DB2 4.0.0.688 beta.
Several fixes were addressed in the 688 drop.
If you do not have the Toad SQL Tuning for DB2 on z/OS component installed but you
have Quest Central for DB2 on z/OS
version 4.9.1 or greater installed, Toad will launch the SQL Tuning for z/OS
component within Quest Central for DB2.
The Toad SQL Tuning for DB2 on z/OS component will only work with Toad for DB2 Beta
4.0.0.631 or greater.
If you are running a Toad for DB2 3.x GA version you can only obtain the SQL
Tuning for DB2 z/OS feature by
using Quest Central for DB2 on z/OS version 4.9.1 or greater.
The installation of the Toad SQL Tuning for DB2 z/OS component will not create
an entry in your
'Start...All Programs...Quest Software' menu. Toad SQL Tuning for DB2 z/OS is
only made available by
being invoked from Toad DB2 4.0.
The Toad SQL Tuning for DB2 z/OS component is available for use during this 4.0
beta and will be available in the
Toad for DB2 z/OS Xpert edition upon Toad DB2 4.0 General Availability.
