SQL Optimizer for DB2 LUW 3.0 Beta
The Toad DB2 4.0 beta program has introduced integration to Quest SQL Optimizer for DB2 LUW
(Linux, UNIX and Windows) 3.0 Beta that
is available during the Toad DB2 4.0 Beta.
If you have the beta version of SQL Optimizer for DB2 LUW
installed you can launch it
from a
Toad DB2 LUW SQL Editor
session
to perform advanced statement tuning. The Quest SQL Optimizer for DB2 LUW 3.0
Beta is introducing updates
including the ability allowing you
to optimize and tune SQL in IBM DB2 LUW v9.x databases.
As of August 8 2008 Drop 3 430 is now available. To
get started with Toad DB2 and Quest SQL Optimizer for DB2 LUW v3.0
STEP 1: Download the SQL Optimizer Beta installation by clicking on the link below.

STEP 2: Install the component
STEP 3: Start Toad for DB2 4.0 Beta (4.0.0.688 or greater is required)
Within a DB2 on LUW SQL Editor session select a statement and click the button
to launch Quest SQL
Optimizer for DB2 LUW 3.0 Beta as shown below.
Notes:
Quest SQL Optimizer for DB2 LUW 3.0 Beta is launch-able
from Toad for DB2 Beta
4.0.0.688 or greater.
If you currently only have the Quest SQL Optimizer for DB2 LUW v2.8.5 the Toad
for DB2 4.0 beta will continue to launch
that version of the product for your DB2 LUW SQL optimization and tuning needs.
The Quest SQL Optimizer for DB2 LUW 3.0 Beta is available for use during the
Toad DB2 4.0
beta and will available in the
Toad for DB2 LUW Xpert edition upon Toad DB2 4.0 General Availability.
