.Net Framework
When installing Toad for Data Analysts, if the .Net prerequisite is not met, the installer will direct you to a webpage that gives a link to download the .Net v3.0 framework. Though v2.0 is the minimum requirement, we recommend .NET v3.0 or v3.5. (The Automation feature requires .NET v3.0 or later.)

Freeware Expiration
The Toad for Data Analysts Freeware edition expires after 120 days. You must return to this site to download a new version every 120-days in order to continue using the freeware.

Microsoft's .Net technology provides the ability to quickly build, deploy, manage and use connected security-enhanced solutions. Leveraging this technology, Quest can rapidly develop scalable applications that are agile enough to meet current and future Analysts needs.

Unicode support
Toad for Data Analysts supports Unicode databases.

DB2 Client
Toad for Data Analysts installs an IBM DB2 client during installation. Toad then uses this client so you do not need an IBM DB2 client installed on the machine before you install Toad for Data Analysts. The IBM DB2 client version installed with Toad for Data Analysts is DB2 v9.1 fixpack 3. The typical IBM requirements for installing a DB2 v9.1 client are enforced. For example, your machine may not have an IBM DB2 v7 (or less) client installed.
