Get to Know 8.0 - Robust Drag 'N' Drop Functionality

Any advanced TOAD user will agree that TOAD's Drag-N-Drop functionality is one of its more powerful tools. For example, one can Drag and Drop a Database Object onto a FTP Server node in the Project Manager and TOAD will automatically build the DDL for the database object and ftp a file containing the DDL to a predefined remote server.

Please note that users will need to have the Object Palette open to use the SQL Modeler and ER Diagram windows so they can drag objects onto the workspaces. The table/view/synonymn selectors in those windows have been removed in favor of using a docked Object Palette. You will be prompted to open the Palette if it is not already open when using these screens.

The following table documents all of the Drag-N-Drop support in version 8.0. Please note that not all of the following is new for 8.0.
